Bronze Meet Information

Parents of Bronze Meet Swimmers,

Tonight, I’ve received meet information for all medal meets. Please read thoroughly. This meet will have 8 other teams so there will be lots of people. The meet will be held at South River Colony, which is a meters pool. It is slightly longer than the yards pools we have been practicing and competing in. This is especially important for those swimming backstroke because their stroke count will be different so please remind your swimmers to get their stroke count during warm ups. The pool address is 40 Colony Crossing, Edgewater.

Attached you will find the psych sheet, heat sheet, and seating area map.

WARM UPS:

The pool and parking opens to swim meet participants at 3:30pm. Arrive at the pool no later than 3:45pm. The pool parking lot, golf club and nearby cul-de-sacs are off limits for parking. Park on Colony Crossing on the east and west side of Route 2. IT IS REQUIRED TO USE THE BRIDGE OVERPASS FOR CROSSING ROUTE 2. There will be golf carts and parking attendants to assist. Warm ups start promptly at 4pm in lanes 1 and 2 only and lasts only 15 minutes. The meet starts at 5:30pm.

VOLUNTEERS:

Thanks to our awesome Stroke and Turn officials for volunteering their services at the Medal meets, we are only required to provide 6 volunteers at the Bronze meet. We need two timers (for lanes 1 & 3), a head timer, ribbons and lane organizer for both the first half and second half. Please sign up using SwimTopia just like the regular dual meets. All volunteers must check into the volunteer table by the front entrance before 4:30pm.

TEAM STAGING AREA:

All teams will sit outside of the pool deck area (on the grass). There is no seating on the pool deck. Parents are not allowed in the staging (clerk of course) area. Make sure you bring chairs and a tent if you have one. See the attached diagram on where our team (SST) will sit.

CONCESSIONS:

There will be lots of dinner options and regular meet type food, such as hamburgers, nachos, pizza, taco in a bag, fruit and desserts.

I'll be sending out Silver and Gold meet info in the next day or so. Let me know if you have any questions!
