Meet Results vs Downs/Year Round Opportunities

This week was our week.... Southdown - 328 / Downs - 164
I have attached the meet results. Going into our final 2 meets (yes the intersquad is an official GASL meet), we are now onto perfecting our starts and finishes which means more endurance. If your swimmer can only swim free and back, make it a goal to choose another stroke to work towards getting legal in. Once Swimtopia updates, I will have an accurate list of medal meet qualifiers.
This is also the time to think about year round opportunities for swimming. There are winter rec teams that are available come January that I will send more information about towards the end of the season. However, club swimming tryouts are beginning now and going through the first couple weeks of July. I will link some website below that have information about tryouts for each team. Club swimming can be competitive depending on the team so I will happily help prepare swimmers that are willing and able. If you have questions about club swimming then please reach out, I would love to see more Southdown Sharks in winter swimming!
