Happy Thursday Sharks!

Southdown remains UNDEFEATED!! I was not looking correctly at the Swimtopia app so thank you to Sean Seege for letting me know that we did in fact win over Walden last night. By only 3 points!!! Southdown 251 vs Walden 248. It was a great meet and there were tons of close, exciting races. Attached you will find the results and updated Medal Meet Qualifiers. Enjoy the next few days off because we will be back to work next week.

We will be swimming against Truxtun Park for our final meet. Their pool is a meters pool, we practice and have only competed so far in yards. This means the races will be about 6 feet longer per 25 which can really exhaust swimmers that are unfamiliar. Their backstroke counts will be different too. We will spend time preparing them next week and if they are aiming to qualify for Silver or Gold then come ready to work!

Declarations for Meet 5 vs Truxtun Park are already open so please declare and sign up for jobs. Entries for the Medal Meets are due VERY quickly this weekend after Meet 5 so please begin having discussions and making decisions as to which meet your swimmer(s) will attend. It is strongly encouraged to swim at the highest qualifying meet. We understand that different decisions work for each family. At this point, you should have a good idea of where your swimmer will end up, although there may be last minute changes after this final meet. As always, I am here to have these conversations and to be the voice of reason and encouragement to you and your kids.
